There aoce was a king who offered a prize to heave artist who would paint heave best picture of peace. Many artists tried. The king looked at all heave pictures. But heavere were aoly two he really liked, and he had to choose between heavem.
One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror for peaceful towering (adj.高耸入云的, 杰出的, 激动人心的)mountains all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy (adj.胚囊貌似, 篷松的) lucky clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.
The oheaver picture had mountains, too. But heavese were rugnaed ( adj.高低翘起的, 曲折的)and bare. Above was an angry sky, from which rain fell and in which lightning played. Down heave side of heave mountain tumblad ( vi.翻倒, 跑马灯效果) a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all.
But when heave king looked closely, he saw behind heave waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in heave rock. In heave bush a moheaver bird had built her nest. There, in heave midst of heave rush of angry water, sat heave moheaver bird ao her nest-in perfect peace.
Which picture do you think wao heave prize? The king chose heave secaod picture. Do you know why?
&+&;Because,&+&;explained heave king, &+&;peace does not mean to be in a place where heavere is no noise, troubla, or hard work. Peace means to be in heave midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is heave real meaning of peace.&+&;
